→📋 How to Use This Farming Guide
V Rising has 5 resource tiers that gate your progression. Each tier requires materials from specific biomes. This guide organizes every material by tier — follow the gear score ranges to know when and where to farm each resource.
Each tier section below includes a material table with exact farming locations, followed by optimization tips for maximizing your yield per minute. The material tables also show what each resource is used for and link to related guides — so you know not just where to farm, but why you're farming it.

⚡ Farming Optimization Tips
Seven tips that turn inefficient farming into a streamlined operation. Apply these and cut your material grind time by 40-60%.
1. Worker Blood is Non-Negotiable
60%+ Worker blood gives 20-30% bonus resource yield on every node. On a 150-ore Iron Mine run, that's 180-195 ore instead of 150. Over a full playthrough, Worker blood saves 10-15 hours of farming. Keep a high-quality Worker prisoner in your castle at all times. Full blood type guide →
2. Build Farming Outposts
Place a small castle (2x2 rooms minimum) near major farming zones — one near the Haunted Iron Mine, one near eastern Silverlight. Use these as stash points and respawn locations. The 10-minute walk back to a farming zone after dying is the biggest hidden time-sink in V Rising. Castle building guide →
3. Use the Right Tool
Mace/Pickaxe for mining nodes (highest yield per hit). Axe for wood (fastest swing). Sword for combat farming (wide arc for clearing packs). Don't mine ore with a Sword — you get less per node. Weapon tier list →
4. Farm at Night, Craft at Day
Silverlight Hills and Gloomrot have daylight penalties. Farm these zones during in-game nighttime. During daytime, stay in your castle and process your haul — smelt ores, craft planks, organize chests. This rhythm maximizes efficiency and minimizes sun-death frustration.
5. Servant Missions Are Passive Income
A full castle of 6-8 servants running 2-hour resource missions generates 200-400 of each basic material while you're offline. Set up your servant economy early and always have missions running. Servant guide →
6. Use Waygates for Multi-Zone Runs
Plan farming routes that hit multiple zones using Waygate teleports. Example: start in Farbane for Copper → Waygate to Dunley for Iron Ore → Waygate to Cursed Forest for Scourgestone. Three resources in one in-game night cycle.
7. Horse = Mobile Storage
Your horse has a small inventory. Load it with heavy materials (ore, stone, wood) during farming runs. Park it safely outside a node cluster, fill your inventory, dump into horse, repeat. Horse inventory + player inventory doubles your haul per trip. Beginner guide →
