V Rising Fusion Forge Guide 2026 — Unlock, Craft & Fuse. Updated .

V Rising Fusion Forge

The Fusion Forge is V Rising's endgame attribute-fusion station, added in the Invaders of Oakveil update. It does not craft weapons — it merges two Ancestral weapons or two jewels for the same spell into one and lets you pick which attributes survive. Unlock it by killing Dantos the Forgebinder (Level 82) in the Oakveil Woodlands. Building it costs 1 Primal Blood Essence + 12 Ember Glass + 16 Dark Silver Ingot, and every fusion burns another 12 Ember Glass (9 on Forge Flooring).

🔓 How to Unlock Fusion Forge in V Rising

There is exactly one gate: kill Dantos the Forgebinder. Everything else is downstream of that single boss.

The Fusion Forge is not purchased, found, or researched — it is unlocked by defeating Dantos the Forgebinder, a Level 82 V Blood Carrier introduced in the Invaders of Oakveil update. Drinking his V Blood simultaneously unlocks two things: the Fusion Forge structure itself, and the Ember Glass crafting recipe you need to build and fuel it. This is why you cannot skip ahead — even if you farmed every other material, you cannot make Ember Glass (or the forge) until Dantos is dead.

How to Get Fusion Forge

The unlock path, step by step:

  1. Reach the Oakveil Woodlands. This is the endgame region added in Invaders of Oakveil. You should be around Gear Score 80+ before attempting the fight.
  2. Travel to Venom Blades Bastion. Dantos the Forgebinder is a fixed-location V Blood inside this bastion — he does not roam, so you can prepare a route directly to him.
  3. Defeat Dantos the Forgebinder (Lv 82). Bring your best damage build — for the full fight (moveset, gear, positioning) see our boss order guide.
  4. Drink his V Blood. This unlocks the Fusion Forge blueprint and the Ember Glass recipe in your build menu.
  5. Build the forge at your castle. Use the recipe in the next section.

If you're still mapping out when to attempt this fight in your run, see our full boss order guide and progression roadmap for where Dantos sits in the endgame.

Order matters after the kill: Dantos unlocks the recipe, not a free forge. You still have to craft 12 Ember Glass (Venom Sap + Emery at the Advanced Furnace) before you can build the thing — so hit the Oakveil farming spots first, then build.

📍 Fusion Forge Location and Crafting Requirements

The boss location, the exact recipe, and where every ingredient actually comes from.

V Rising Fusion Forge Recipe

Once Dantos is dead, build the Fusion Forge at your castle with:

MaterialQuantityWhere to Get It
Primal Blood Essence1Refined at the Blood Press — 3 Exquisite Hearts each (unlock via Jade the Vampire Hunter)
Ember Glass12Crafted at the Advanced Furnace — 8 Venom Sap + 20 Emery (unlocked by Dantos)
Dark Silver Ingot16Smelt Dark Silver Ore (mined in the Silverlight Hills) at a Furnace

Fusion Forge Materials Required

Three materials, three different supply chains:

1. Primal Blood Essence (1) — The highest-tier Blood Essence in the game. It is not looted from enemies; you refine it at the Blood Press. The recipe unlocks after defeating Jade the Vampire Hunter (a roaming boss around central Dunley Farmlands). Once unlocked, each Primal Blood Essence costs 3 Exquisite Hearts (4 without matching Alchemy Lab flooring). Exquisite Hearts drop from high-level enemies like Werewolves, Paladins, and Knights in the Silverlight Hills. A later, more sustainable recipe converts 9 Greater Blood Essence into one Primal Blood Essence.

2. Ember Glass (12) — Crafted at the Advanced Furnace from 8 Venom Sap + 20 Emery (6 + 15 with a floor bonus). The recipe unlocks from the same boss that unlocks the forge — Dantos. Venom Sap drops from Corrupted Treants and the Carvers Logging Outpost; Emery comes from the orange-crystal Emery nodes in the northwest Oakveil Woodlands — mine them slowly, because they explode if you hit too fast. You need 12 just to build the forge, plus 12 more for every fusion.

3. Dark Silver Ingot (16) — The standard Tier 3 metal. Mine Dark Silver Ore in the Silverlight Hills, then smelt it into ingots at a Furnace. This is the easiest of the three to stockpile, and you'll likely already have a reserve from earlier gearing. For full mining routes, see our complete resource farming guide.

Location summary: You fight Dantos at Venom Blades Bastion in the Oakveil Woodlands, and that's also where you'll farm the Venom Sap and Emery for his Ember Glass. Only the Dark Silver Ingots pull you back to the Silverlight Hills — a region you'll already know well by this stage.

⚙️ How Fusion Forge Works

It doesn't craft. It doesn't repair. It fuses — and understanding that distinction is the whole game.

Fusion Forge Explained

The Fusion Forge has two input slots. You place two Ancestral weapons — or two jewels for the same spell — into the slots, and the forge combines the attributes of both into a single list. You then choose which attributes to keep. The chosen attributes are written onto the item in the left slot, and the item in the right slot is destroyed.

Three rules define everything the Fusion Forge does:

  • Left slot survives, right slot is consumed. Put your keeper on the left, your "donor" on the right.
  • You pick the attributes. The merged list is shown to you, and you select which ones the final item keeps. Nothing is random about which attributes carry over.
  • The attribute count is fixed. The fused item keeps the same number of attributes as the left-slot item originally had. Fusion is about swapping better attributes in, not adding more slots.
Fusion Forge mechanic — the left slot survives, the right slot is destroyed, and you choose which attributes the result keeps LEFT SLOT KEEPER Ancestral Sword • +8% Physical Damage • +5% Critical Chance ✓ SURVIVES RIGHT SLOT DONOR Ancestral Sword • +12% Attack Speed • +3% Move Speed ✗ DESTROYED FUSION FORGE merge both lists → pick what to keep RESULT · left item survives • +8% Physical Damage • +12% Attack Speed ← from donor • +5% Critical Chance
How fusion works: put your keeper in the left slot and the donor in the right. The forge merges both attribute lists and lets you pick — the right-slot item is then destroyed, and the left item carries your chosen attributes (including the donor's better ones).

The Fusion Forge does not craft weapons and does not repair shattered shards. A shattered Legendary weapon shard will not become a weapon here — that's the Ancestral Forge's job. The Fusion Forge only touches already-restored, usable Ancestral weapons and jewels. Here's the full difference:

The endgame loop, in order:
1. Loot a shattered Ancestral weapon shard.
2. Restore it at the Ancestral Forge (3 Onyx Tears).
3. Now you have a usable Ancestral weapon with random attributes.
4. Use the Fusion Forge to merge in better attributes from a second weapon — turning a mediocre roll into a perfect one.

🧬 Fusion Forge Weapon and Jewel Fusion Guide

The two fusion types, step by step — plus the rules that determine what you're actually allowed to fuse.

Fusion Forge Weapon Fusion Guide

What you can fuse: two Ancestral weapons — the endgame weapon class introduced alongside the Fusion Forge. Ancestral weapons drop as shards of different rarities (Rare, Epic, Legendary), and once restored at the Ancestral Forge, each rolls a set of attributes. Weapon fusion lets you combine the attribute pools of two such weapons.

How to do it:

  1. Place the weapon you want to keep in the left slot.
  2. Place the weapon whose attributes you want to steal in the right slot.
  3. The forge merges both attribute lists. If both weapons share the same attribute, only the higher-level version is offered — you cannot pick the weaker duplicate.
  4. Select the attributes you want. The result keeps the same number of attributes as your left-slot weapon originally had.
  5. Pay the Ember Glass cost. The right-slot weapon is destroyed; the left-slot weapon now carries your chosen attributes.

This is the true endgame min-max loop: farm multiple copies of the same Ancestral weapon, then fuse their best attributes into one perfect roll. For which weapon types are worth the grind, see our best weapons tier list.

Fusion Forge Jewel Fusion

Jewel fusion follows the same core mechanic but with two extra restrictions that trip people up:

  • Same spell only. The two jewels must be for the same spell. You cannot fuse a jewel for one spell with a jewel for another.
  • Tier difference allowed, but limited. Fusion only allows a difference in tier between the two jewels — it's not a free-for-all. Plan your jewel pairs accordingly.

Everything else is identical to weapon fusion: combined attribute list, choose what to keep, highest-tier version wins on duplicates, fixed attribute count, right-slot jewel destroyed. Jewel fusion is the more affordable way to fine-tune a build once you've settled on your spell loadout.

🛠️ Best Fusion Forge Builds and Tips

Room setup, Ember Glass budgeting, and the habits that separate efficient players from Ember-Glass-broke ones.

Set Up the Room for Maximum Efficiency

Two room bonuses stack on the Fusion Forge, and both are worth chasing:

  • Confined room: +25% crafting speed. Wall in the forge to cut every fusion's time.
  • Forge Flooring: −25% material cost. This drops each fusion from 12 to 9 Ember Glass — over 10 fusions, that's 30 Ember Glass saved.

The ideal setup is a confined room with Forge Flooring. Both bonuses apply independently, so there's no reason to settle for one. For full room-layout guidance, see our castle building guide.

Budget Ember Glass Aggressively

Ember Glass is the silent cost of the entire system — you pay it to build the forge, and again on every fusion. Before you start fusing, make sure you can farm Venom Sap and Emery reliably in the Oakveil Woodlands. A player who unlocks the forge but has no Ember Glass pipeline is stuck with a very expensive decoration.

Five tips that save hours:
✓ Always put your keeper on the left — the right slot is always destroyed.
✓ Fuse only when the donor has a clearly better attribute than your keeper; a lateral swap wastes 12 Ember Glass.
✓ You can abort a fusion at no cost before it completes — preview the result and back out if you mis-slotted.
✓ On shared attributes, only the higher level is selectable, so never pair two items hoping to "double up."
✓ Restore shards at the Ancestral Forge before you start fusing — the Fusion Forge only accepts usable weapons and jewels.
